And that's almost all you need to know about me. I'm crazy in a good way.
I own a TOS uniform that I wear to school periodically and get plenty of double-takes when I do.
My family and I have every episode of every season of every series of Star Trek, excluding (unfortunately) DS9 and TAS. Consequently, I've seen every episode of VOY, every episode of ENT, most episodes of TOS, and a few dozen of TNG. I'm currently working on TNG.
I watch The Good Wife, NCIS, the CSI:s, NCIS: LA, White Collar, Bones (sometimes), Babylon 5 (IF ONLY IT WERE PLAYING RERUNS! We have those seasons, too), and then basically whatever happens to be on.
I read A LOT and want to be an author and maybe an English teacher when I grow up.
I'm a freshman in high school, currently, and I'm still going to be in all AP and honors classes next year. I'm in German 2 this year, next year as a Sophomore I'll be in German 3.
I'm told by some friends that I'm majorly obsessed with Star Trek.
I can find ways to relate Star Trek episodes to anything and everything we're studying in schools, and sometimes claim I use it to supplement my scholarly studies in the classroom.
I ride horses, and my favorite horse, Rodney, is a nut.
Today *May 18, 2010* I managed to convince my English teacher to show bits and pieces of three Voyager episodes (Cathexis, Learning Curve, and Persistence of Vision) but it didn't go as well as I thought. I mean, I know that Star Trek is confusing to non-Trekkies and I know Star Trek is the geekdom of all geekdoms, so maybe non-geeks don't want to be associated with the show, but HONESTLY, I had no idea how RUDE they were! At least I got extra credit for proving that Jane Eyre is relevant and has influence today. But, yay! I might have a victim to convert, because one of the band geeks told me the next day that I should bring more Star Trek in. Apparently he didn't realize Beatrice and Henry were holograms until the former disappeared. NOW I HAVE TWO TO CONVERT TO TREKKISM! Him and one I've already begun on, who absolutely loves Voyager, but hasn't seen the others. I'm working slowly - go too fast and I'll lose any chance of working at him.
I might add to this later.
